Dear is a saxophonist, pianist, and composer. He graduated from UCLA with a concentration in Jazz Studies and an emphasis in Performance.  His style draws influence primarily from Jazz, R&B, and Funk music.  Dear has performed solo at various venues including LA Rose Cafe, Vitello's, ABS-CBN, The Prince Restaurant, El Rey Sol, Au Lac DTLA and wedding receptions.  In addition, he played the National Anthem during the City of Carson Filipino Heritage Celebration.

He has shared the stage with distinguished luminaries including Terence Blanchard, Wycliffe Gordon, Justo Almario, Uri Caine and Antonio Lysy.  His eclectic sound has allowed him to join LA based musicians on a Corona beer television commercial and perform and record with artists such as MAX, Louis Futon, Party Pupils, Megan Lee, CHAI, Travis Barker, Maejor and Max Schneider.
